Samsung Galaxy S3 - " THE INVENTOR "

Samsung has finally launched the much awaited the Galaxy S3 smartphone. It was unveiled in London last evening and is expected to be available in the European market towards the end of this month. It is also expected to hit the Indian market soon.

The Galaxy S3 – it’s the successor to the 20 million selling S2. Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S are often compared but it’s hard to tell which one is better. Now, after the launch of Galaxy S3 speculations are made, people are eager to know whether S3 can beat iPhone 4s or not. Price of the Smartphone has still not been disclosed. 

FEATURES   

•  Screen and The Censors

 It brings new software such as voice recognition, and like Galaxy note it is also a giant-screen phone. It has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD screen that has a new sensor that tracks your eyes – so long as you’re looking at the screen, it won’t dim or lock itself. The feature seemed to work very well when used with a little icon indicating that phone is watching your eyes.

Another censor, if you are looking at a contact the S3 automatically dials that number when you put the phone to your face. Voice control is improved and is called S-Voice. Galaxy S3 is also loaded up with a 8 MP camera that can capture high quality pictures. It records 1080p videos at 30fps.

• Storage

Galaxy S3 has a quad-core 1.4GHZ Exynos processor fitted on Exynos chipset. It also packs a 1GB of RAM and max. of 64GB of internal storage. Memory can be extended to 64GB micro SD card, total memory can be 128GB. Galaxy S3 owners will also get 50GB of free Cloud storage with Dropbox from next month.

 Are we talking of a PC ? Well no but it’s the new face of Samsung which will help Samsung to get to a status of INVENTOR.

 

•   S Beam

  It comes up with a new NFC file transfer service called S Beam. I guess this beam was also featured in last year with Galaxy Nexus. We can connect our phones instantly and share anything using this service.
  
  

• User Interface

      The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box with a refined TouchWiz.

• Battery 

 It comes up with a 2,100mAh battery, which is big but this is a demanding phone with such big   screen that stays on because you are looking at it. Overall Samsung assures that performance will be better than its predecessor S2.

Conclusion

Overall it is much like S2 but it feel as solid and heavy in hand and also much bigger than iPhone. It is too early to give a final verdict whether S3 has overcome iPhone or not, but its features are certainly great to experience. There are many more features coming with this Smartphone, only thing that is below expectation is it's 8MP camera that should have been at least 12MP. We have to watch it's price then only we can say something on which is a better option iPhone or the S3.
