GoOgle Drive

Consumer service started by the Search Giant Google where we can create, share, collaborate and store all our stuff. It is very good for those working with friends on a join project. You can upload and access all files including videos, pictures, Google Docs, PDFs and many more on this drive. 

Introducing Google Drive

It is similar to services such as Dropbox, Sugar Sync and Trend Micro's Sync, but it's also been integrated with Google Docs, which make Google Drive a hybrid between a cloud storage service and a cloud computing platform.shared items.

You can store your data safely with Google drive and then can access it from anywhere - either from your Windows Home PC or at Office with MAC. You can also then view it from your Android tablet, it;s just the same from all. confusion arises when you store a Word File in Google Drive and then edit it using Google Docs. Upon viewing it now from our tablet we will be seeing 2 versions of same source file - a word document version and a Google Docs version (it keeps backup of source file also)

Getting Started

Google provides you with a 5 GB of storage for free which I think is enough for storing your pictures of latest trip, your scanned Resume, songs etc. You can also choose to upgrade to 25 GB for $2.49/month, 100 GB for $4.99/month or even 1 TB for $49.99/month. Upgrading to a Paid account will also expand your Gmail account storage to 25 GB.

USER INTERFACE

Setting up Google drive is very easy. Google has a very tough competition with Microsoft Sky Drive while Dropbox has the biggest market share. You can get to Google Drive from drive.google.com . I haven't faced any difficulty  while setting up the Drive.

Google drive works same on both the Windows and MAC. Once you have installed it on your system you will get through these Screen shots.
