Managing Your Desktop

Customizing desktop according to our needs makes it more easier for us to work and also it appears more attractive. Desktop is the first screen which we look after the PC is turned on, so it needs to look good.
A few tools that I have used for customizing my desktop are in this post.

Using Fences

If you have a lot of shortcut items lying on your desktop, then it becomes a little difficult task for you to select the one you are looking for. Fences is the application that will help you, it can easily organize icons into separate windows on your desktop in a manner you want them to be or let it create for you.

ABCFastDirectoryIt gives us many options like setting the fence area, customizing type of items in a particular fence, also we can drag and drop shortcuts anywhere. Another interesting feature is that we can hide icons by double-tapping the desktop; double-tapping again resurfaces them.
