Komodo Edit–It’s simple to code

Komodo edit is a simple multi language editor – PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl and Tcl, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and template languages like RHTML, Template-Toolkit, HTML-Smarty,Luddite, Mason and Django. It is a free open source language editor which is basically a sub version of Komodo IDE.

Komodo Edit is built on a similar structure as that of Mozilla Firefox, this makes it a multiplatform editor available for Windows,Mac OS X, and Linux. It is one of my favourite editor specially to code in PHP  and HTML. It also has various colour schemes and you can select one of your choice.

I m currently using version 5.2 and it is simply awesome. For day to day use it is very pleasant to work with. Well organized, efficient, simple and still very powerful are some of its characteristics which fascinate me. Now  version 7.1.0 is also available. Komodo Edit 7 adds improved syntax checking, support for Node.js, CoffeeScript, LESS, SCSS, EJS and epMojo, smarter auto-complete, and is faster than ever, running on Mozilla 7.0. Autocompletion feature in this is also a delight to the users.

If you like to code in Komodo Edit, company also offers you a 21 day trial of Komodo IDE and then you can pay to get upgraded to it.
