Google takes control over Meebo

Google has acquired Meebo to add more features to its Google Plus, an alternative to Facebook. The deal was made on Monday and Google has shell around $100 million for the web based IM client.
"Together with Google, we're super jazzed to roll up our sleeves and get cracking on even bigger and better ways to help users and website owners alike," Meebo wrote on its official blogg on Monday.
             
Meebo is a browser based IM chat client that enables users to log into different cha
t accounts within a single browser. There is no need to download any kind of messenger setup or anything when you are on meebo. Applications based on meebo messenger for different smartphones are also available in the market.





Buying Meebo will certainly add more spice to there social platform Google plus as the company said "With the Meebo team's expertise in social publisher tools, we believe they will be a great fit with the Google+ team".
